Each tutorial video follows the same format for learning the step:
- First we see the step in full
- Then we learn it count by count - feet first
- Next we learn it count by count - adding the arms
- Next we practice with solo compás, at a slow tempo - to get the movements locked in to your muscle memory
- Then we practice the step with solo compás, at a slightly faster tempo - to get the movements ready for the Bulerías pace!

I'm a beginner, are you sure I can do this?
There are no complicated choreographies - most of the steps are simple.
No matter where you are in your flamenco journey, if you can stamp and you can clap, you'll be able to follow along.
If anything, the challenge will be in the tempo.
Bulerías is typically a fast-paced dance, but we take the steps slow to start with.
From there, you can build up the tempo at a pace to suit YOU.
I'm advanced, will this be too basic for me?
If you're a seasoned flamenco dancer then learning the steps should be a breeze!
Which is a good thing, because the point of this workshop series is for you to build a bank of signature steps that you can commit to muscle memory.
Then, when you ARE improvising, you're free to focus on listening and improvising to the cante (the singing) – instead of stressing about what step to do next and missing the cues in the music!

When it comes to improvising Bulerías Por Fiesta, the responsibility is on us as dancers to come up with our OWN choreography. Which is a lot of pressure if all we're used to is learning steps by rote.
If you're serious about levelling up your Bulerías game, I've taken some of that responsibility from you – all you have to do is choose a few steps you like best, learn them, and add them to your signature collection!
| What if I don’t feel motivated to practice? |
I get it! We don't always feel super motivated to put on our dancing shoes at home. Not when the washing needs to be folded and the couch is calling your name. Loudly.
Enter – mental rehearsal.
Studies have shown (just ask Tony Robbins) that mentally rehearsing your moves can positively affect your performance.
Don't put pressure on yourself – if you really aren't in the mood to get up and dance, you can always close your eyes and picture yourself doing the moves with the audience loving what they see.
Mental practice is better than no practice!

The short answer is no.
Become A Bulerías Boss is a course that teaches you every element you need to know to improvise a complete Bulerías patada from salida to final, no matter how the letra is sung.
While I do teach you the steps I'm using in the course, it's not a detailed lesson on dancing.
And, I don't teach a lot of steps - I use the same few steps throughout the majority of the course – because the focus is on learning how to improvise, not learning steps.

Yes.
Bulerías Por Fiesta is not about fancy footwork or complex choreography. It's a short, party style dance designed to showcase the fun side of your personality.
Most of the steps I teach in the tutorials are suitable for beginners.

The crucial element to allowing yourself to improvise successfully is knowing your steps before you go out to improvise.
That means (1) you will need your own set of signature steps, and (2) you will need to know them thoroughly - both of which this workshop is designed to give you.

Improv is not really my thing either! But... if you love flamenco, it's going to catch up with you sooner or later.
